HATCHERY-BREEDER CLINIC MOVES TO IPE!

The Hatchery - Breeder Clinic, normally held in mid-July, will be held all day Tuesday and Wednesday morning, January 25-26, 2011 prior to the International Poultry Expo, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.  This provides the opportunity for hatchery and breeder flock managers to join together to learn the latest techniques for producing high quality chicks. It covers both hatchery and breeder operations so that both functions are aware of new innovations and basic management principles.  There is also added value to holding the Clinic in conjunction with the IPE:

  • Clinic attendees will receive COMPLIMENTARY admission into the International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo.  So there is no need to register for the Expo separately.
  • Your Hatchery-Breeder Clinic badge will allow you the opportunity to see the trade show floor and visit the booths of your current suppliers and meet potential suppliers.
  • Clinic attendees can take advantage of other educational offerings during IPE.

Air Cargo Seminars are designed for airline and freight forwarder personnel who are responsible for the air shipment of poultry breeding stock. The seminars stress the proper handling methods and environmental conditions essential for transporting baby chicks, turkey poults, and hatching eggs.

Poultry Wastewater Operators Training

Registration for the Poultry Wastewater Operators Training was limited to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. We have reached 20 participants. Registration is closed.

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has developed a Poultry Wastewater Operators Training Program. The course introduces students to the regulatory structure governing poultry plant effluents; provides a primer in math, chemistry, and microbiology; and covers the predominant equipment and systems used to properly treat poultry effluent prior to discharge. The course is primarily geared toward operators and supervisors involved in poultry wastewater treatment for two years or less. The course will be led by Paul Bredwell, vice president, environmental programs, U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. All attendees will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Class size will be limited to 20 people. Registrations are processed on a first-come first-served basis.
