The Poultry & Egg Institute leads the development of employee training programs, available to USPOULTRY members. Certain programs may be available to USPOULTRY members only. Currently available programs are listed below.

DVD Machine Guarding for the Poultry & Egg Industry is a PowerPoint based training program available free-of-charge to USPOULTRY members. Non-members may order the program for $200. The program is intended for safety and health, maintenance and sanitation personnel who are responsible for machine guarding. It outlines a risk management approach to identifying and correcting machine exposures and provides practical solutions to address the hazards. The program was developed in conjunction with the National Chicken Council and National Turkey Federation OSHA alliance on equipment safety. Machine Guarding for the Poultry & Egg Industry

DVD Your Future is Now - Careers in the Poultry & Egg Industries is a new video for high school and college students, encouraging them to consider a career in the poultry & egg industry. CDROMIntroduction to Incident Investigations is a PowerPoint based training program available free-of-charge to USPOULTRY members. Non-members may order the program for $200. The program is intended for safety and helath personnel, supervisors and others who are involved in accident and incident investigations. It outlines the benefits of successful incident investigations and provides various processes to assist in determining the root cause of the incident and possible corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence.

DVDThe Stormwater Pollution Prevention Training Program provides the history and rationale behind the development of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting program and also details the requirements of an acceptable Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.

DVDA driver training program, Single Vehicle Rollovers, discusses the factors that lead to rollover accidents including vehicle design, road conditions and driver behavior.

CDROM The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association funded the development of a biosecurity training CD. "Infectious Disease Risk Management: Practical Biosecurity Resources for Commercial Poultry Producers" is available at no charge to growers and others involved in the poultry and egg industry. It is designed to aid in developing more effective biosecurity practices. For more information and to order the CD go here.

The U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service and the U.S. Department of State have developed a free CD to give American companies the inside scoop on export markets in Argentina, Brazil, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Venezuela.
