Supreme Court Makes It Harder For Employees To Win Age-bias Lawsuits

Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)
Almost twenty years ago OSHA issued its rule on the Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) to help safeguard employees from the unexpected startup of machines or equipment or release of hazardous energy while they are performing servicing or maintenance. The standard identifies the practices and procedures necessary to shut down and lock out or tag out machines and equipment, requires that employees receive training in their role in the Lockout/Tagout program, and mandates that periodic inspections be conducted to maintain or enhance the energy control program. Compliance with the Lockout/Tagout standard should continue to be a high priority in any safety program.

Meat and Poultry Marination Short Course July 21-24, 2009
