As anticipation builds for the 2026 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), excitement is reaching new heights. The show is shaping up to be the largest in IPPE history, promising more exhibitors, innovations and networking opportunities than ever before. To give readers a firsthand look at what’s to come, we sat down with USPOULTRY’s Executive Vice President of Expo & Communication Services Gwen Venable to discuss how the team brings this massive event to life and what attendees can expect.
What makes IPPE 2026 the biggest show yet?
It all comes down to the trade show floor. “The 2026 IPPE will have its largest trade show floor ever,” says Venable. “With already 657,000+ square feet and still growing, it will feature 1,300+ exhibitors showcasing their newest innovations and technologies.”
What highlights can attendees look forward to this year?
From the expansive trade show floor to world-class education and networking opportunities, there’s no shortage of excitement. “Attendees can enjoy three TECHTalk Theaters offering insights on practical and technical topics such as processing innovations, sustainability, artificial intelligence and the latest research,” Venable explains. “Plus, the New Product Showcase, community lounges, IPPE Courtyard and the lively Discovery Zone are not to be missed.”
Are there any new features or experiences unique to this year’s show?
“Yes!” says Venable. “We will have several themed pavilions, the Worker Safety Pavilion, Food Safety Pavilion and Energy Pavilion, each highlighting cutting-edge solutions in their respective fields. And of course, attendees can unwind with special Happy Hour entertainment on Tuesday and test their spice tolerance at the Hot Wing Competition on Wednesday!”
What does it take to plan a show of this scale?
“Planning a show like IPPE is an ongoing process,” Venable shares. “It involves coordinating with the convention center, vendors, hotels and our many partners. From registration and security to transportation and audiovisual services, it takes everyone to make it happen.”
How far in advance does planning begin?
“We’re already planning the next show before the current one even ends,” she explains. “Some contracts are reviewed and signed three to five years in advance to secure venues, services and logistics.”
How do you ensure everything runs smoothly on-site?
“Preparation is key,” Venable emphasizes. “We try to anticipate potential issues before arriving onsite. Thankfully, we have a seasoned team and dedicated partners who work together to keep things running seamlessly.”
How does the IPPE team work together to make the show a success?
“It’s truly a team effort,” says Venable. “Every department plays a critical role – exhibitor and attendee support, registration, housing, education, communications, logistics, IT, finance and more. Everyone contributes to making IPPE the success it is.”
How important are punctuality and attention to detail?
“Both are extremely important,” she notes. “Missing deadlines can have a domino effect on other areas of the show. We check and double-check every detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.”
What part of planning IPPE 2026 excites you the most?
“It’s always thrilling to watch the floor plan come to life – from concept to reality,” Venable says. “Seeing exhibitors move in and attendees fill the halls is an amazing feeling.”
What has been your favorite moment from past shows?
“The drumline that came through during Happy Hour last year was unforgettable,” she recalls. “It grabbed everyone’s attention and created such a fun, high-energy atmosphere. We love being able to offer those types of memorable moments.”
How do you keep your team motivated?
“Communication and camaraderie,” Venable says. “We hold regular meetings to stay aligned and host team lunches and events to keep morale high. Supporting one another is what keeps us moving forward.”
What tips do you have for first-time attendees or exhibitors?
“For attendees, wear comfortable shoes! There’s a lot of ground to cover,” Venable said. “Download the IPPE app, check out the education programs, attend networking events and bring plenty of business cards.”

How can companies stand out at such a large expo?
“Promotion is key,” Venable advises. “Use email, newsletters, mailings or social media to let customers know you will be at IPPE. IPPE also offers complimentary and paid sponsorship opportunities to help companies boost their visibility.”
As IPPE 2026 approaches, it’s clear this year’s event will set new standards for innovation, collaboration and industry impact. With record-breaking floor space, engaging programming and a dedicated team behind the scenes, attendees can expect a show to remember.
